About Us

Kitsap Tenant Support Services Inc. provides habilitative services, caregiving, training, support, and supervision to persons with developmental disabilities and special needs. The company is locally owned and one of the original programs of this type in Washington state, proudly operating in Kitsap County since 1974.

Please note that Kitsap Tenant Support Services also operates Olympic Peninsula Supported Living, providing the same essential habilitative 24 hour support services but in Clallam County.

Working with clients throughout Kitsap and Clallam counties, Kitsap Tenant Support Services strives to provide a healthy, safe, and stable environment to allow as much independent development as possible. Through our training and habilitative services, clients gain an increased sense of self, while developing the tools necessary to take ownership of their lives, build relationships, gain personal power and choice, and actively participate while being included in their community.

All of our employees are extensively vetted and screened before they’re allowed into a client’s home. This includes a comprehensive interview process and a criminal background check, FBI fingerprinting, employment references, driving abstract, and TB screening.

All employees receive state mandated training: either Residential Services Staff Training or Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving. These are both 40 hour classroom-based learning courses with skills testing. Staff are also trained in CPR, AED, and First Aid techniques, and other population specific subject matter consistent with this industry. They regularly receive ongoing, continuing education to ensure they are well versed in the latest techniques, technologies, and strategies directly related to serving the developmentally disabled and vulnerable adult populations.
